Technical UXR Strategist
I bridge the gap between complex system architecture and human behavior. With a background in Computer Science Engineering and Cybersecurity, I don't just find user insights—I understand the technical constraints required to build the solution.
"Technology is never neutral; every interface is a philosophical choice that dictates human behavior."
Technical Stack
Full-Stack Development
Building high-fidelity, functional prototypes to conduct authentic UXR testing environments.
Cybersecurity / SOC
Analyzing network traffic patterns to reduce cognitive load in security monitoring dashboards.
Data & ML
Parsing massive behavioral datasets to uncover invisible user friction patterns at scale.
Blockchain
Engineering trust mechanisms and transparency layers in decentralized user experiences.
Demystifying Notification Fatigue
A mixed-methods diary study on user behavior towards frequent notifications
Problem
Users are overwhelmed by notifications and often ignore or dismiss them, but the reasons behind these behaviors are not well understood.
Goal
To identify what drives users to open, ignore, or dismiss notifications and understand how importance and context influence these decisions.
Methodology
A diary-based study using Google Forms, followed by data cleaning, tagging, and pivot-based analysis to uncover behavioral patterns.
A Culture of Selective Engagement
"The vast majority of alerts do not warrant immediate action. Users have developed a habit of defaulting to 'ignore' or 'mass-clear' simply to protect their digital space."
Users meaningfully engage with only ~34% of notifications. 100% of "Too Frequent" and 80% of "Irrelevant" alerts were instantly dismissed.
The Cost of Missing Context
"When users do not immediately grasp why a system is pinging them, it forces unnecessary cognitive load. This ambiguity leads to highly fractured, unpredictable behavior."
Over a third of all notifications fail to communicate their basic premise to the user.
Engagement vs. Clarity
Systemic Fixes for Attention Architecture
Context-First Payloads
Inject mandatory "Reason for Alert" metadata into subtitles (e.g., "Action Required") to eliminate ambiguity.
Strict Relevance Batching
Push critical alerts in real-time. Bundle low-value updates into silent, scheduled "Daily Digests."
Granular Controls
Replace binary On/Off switches with user-defined preference logic for personal relevance filters.
Project SURAKSHA
A specialized data security tool designed to automatically redact Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from agency documents, reducing privacy breach risks across 1,000+ sensitive files.
